Agriturismo La Vernaccia is located 800 mt far from the historical centre of San Gimignano, in the heart of the Tuscan hilly countryside. It offers high-standard accommodations in the magic atmosphere of a long-lasting tradition. The lovely villa is surrounded by the vineyards and the olive groves of the estate and is immersed in a huge garden towered by a medieval tower. All around there are a few ancient buildings, originally farmers’ homes that have been carefully restored and now divided into five comfortable apartments.
In the peace and the tranquillity of this idyllic place, guests can spend lazy holiday hours on the swimming pool sun terrace, or taste the local wines and extra-virgin olive oil.
Tasty breakfasts and delicious typical dinners are available even for those guests who have chosen self-catering accommodation in one of our apartments. In wintertime meals are served in the old barn while in the summertime in the paved barnyard terrace, under the stars.

This three-story apartment with independent entrance offers a stunning 360° view of the surrounding hills.
The first floor consists of a living room with fireplace, a dining room which opens into a lovely balcony overlooking the medieval towers of San Gimignano, and a small kitchen.
On the second floor there is a double bedroom with its own bathroom, and on the attic floor, on top of the tower, there is a romantic double bedroom with a four-poster bed, arched windows, ensuite bathroom, and satellite TV. Central heating , natural conditioning and satellite TV

Guided tours (free of charge for the guests of the Agriturismo) to the modern and efficient wine cellar: with its fascinating barrels and barriques stockrooms, two different areas for red wine and for white wine making, a bottling room and a storage for refinement in bottle. To be mentioned the estate mill where, from late October to December, visitors can attend the oil making process and the magic moment when olives are pressed to obtain an excellent extra-virgin olive oil.
Guided wine tasting (free of charge for the guests of the Agriturismo) in the beautiful and professional tasting room, next to the winery, where visitors can taste several types of local wines (red and white wines, vintage wines or for long ageing) . Not to forget Vin Santo (typical Tuscan dessert wine), grappa, and precious extra-virgin olive oil.
