CASALE SAN MARINO, built in the 19th century, although immersed in the countryside, was not destined as a farmhouse but as the residence of the prelate. Rectangular in shape and beautiful in its simplicity, the building has been skilfully restored, keeping the original elements as much as possible and integrating them with materials that have been salvaged or made by local artisans, such as old terracotta tiled floors and ceilings with wooden beams and tiles. 300 square metres, distributed over two floors, offer ample living space and a suggestive veranda connecting with the garden.
INTERIOR
On the ground floor the front door opens on to a cosy entrance hall used as a sitting room with small library, at the opposite end of which is a bathroom with shower serving the living area. To the right of the sitting room is the kitchen with wood stove and to the left a large dining room with billiard table and imposing basalt fireplace. Off the dining room is the veranda, overlooking the garden, which can be completely closed or opened as necessary and which is furnished as a conversation/relaxation area with sitting room, stove, TV, stereo and gym. Also on the ground floor is the laundry room. An internal marble staircase leads to the sleeping area on the top floor, with walnut parquet flooring, with a large landing on which face a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and closet, another double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a large bathroom with whirlpool tub, double washbasin and double shower. The windows have gratings and netting and the front door is armoured.
PARK
Extending over 3.000 square metres, the garden, planted with lawn and, in part, paved in tuff, is a small corner of paradise, with rose gardens, aromatic bushes, jasmine, laurel, cypresses, palms, olives, elms and fruit trees. A square shaped gazebo affords an oasis of relaxation for meals whilst the wooden hut next to the pool is furnished with a little sitting room in rattan and mini bar.
Swimming Pool
The kidney shaped pool with Roman steps is situated just a few metres from the house. The pool measures 12 x 6 m with a depth varying from 1.10 to 1.40 m. The solarium area is paved in antique terracotta and has a shower. In the small annex, serving the pool, is a sitting room with conversation zone and mini bar. The pool is at the disposal of guests from the last Saturday of April until the first Saturday of October.

Location
The province of Pesaro represents a synthesis of Italy where, in a few kilometres of territory, the harsh rugged mountains (many reliefs are higher than 2000 metres) descend to the coast, in places gentle and sandy, in others wild and rocky, passing through countryside characterized by gentle hills dotted by vines, olives and sunflowers and by little old villages with their imposing fortresses, churches, museums rich in history, sparkling historical theatres and all the cultural wealth belonging to every one of them. All this is spread over a still integral environment which, like a precious jewel box, holds surprising natural treasures and jealously guards the secrets of the old crafts and the wine and food tradition which perfectly conciliates the aromas of the Adriatic fish with the specialities of the hinterland, skilfully combined with the thirteen DOC wines produced in this area. Among the hills, on the slopes of the Apennines, is the thriving truffle harvest which, with the fish and the dry white wine (Bianchello del Metauro), is one of the strong points of the local cuisine.
