Il Mulino is a farmhouse which has been recently restored with special attention to the quality materials to renovate the property, using also the original local materials.
This villa is situated on a little hill just a few kilometers far from Colle Salvetti. The property is surrounded by about 4 hectares of land containing a pine wood, an area of natural woodland, an olive grove, an orchard and a walnut grove.
The antique and modern furniture balance each other together with the terracotta floors and beamed ceilings. The ground floor is characterized by large windows and French windows which allow the natural light to come in, giving the house a warm familiar atmosphere.
The villa is surrounded by flat ground covered by a green lawn and old pines with an 18th century windmill which was in use until the beginning of the 20th century. Guests can sit and relax on the portico whilst enjoying the beautiful sunsets .
Il Mulino is close to the international airports of Pisa and Florence and guests can visit numerous tourist centres such as Pisa, Firenze, Volterra, Lucca, Siena and Livorno, which are all within easy reach. Another interesting possibility during the summer is to spend the day on the beaches of the nearby Versilia or Castiglioncello, not far from Livorno.

In a few hours you can visit Pisa, Lucca, Florence or walk in the footsteps of the Etruscans in Volterra, wander along the little towered streets of San Gimignano or go to the wild cliffs of Castiglioncello or the immense beaches of fashionable Versilia and the Cinque Terre. Fauglia is slightly hidden, away from the chaos and noise of the traffic yet it is not difficult to get there. It is just 85 km from Florence, 20 km from Pisa, 32 km from Livorno, 35 km from Lucca and 48 km from Viareggio. It can be reached by car rom the motorways A1, A11 and A12 at the exits of Firenze Signa or Pisa Centro, depending on where you are coming from. Then follow the clearway Firenze-Pisa-Livorno to the exit of Vicarello.
