La Pergolina is situated over the hills of Tuscany between Monsummano and Montecatini Terme, and it is an old farmhouse completely immersed in the green, with a panoramic view over the surrounding countryside. The property is inside a small farm, surrounded by several hectares of terraced land covered for the most part with olive trees. The farmhouse was built in 1800 and recently renovated by the present owners who have maintained the typical characteristics of the Tuscan countryside, without forgoing any details, such as the terracotta floors and wooden beams on the ground floor. The particularity of the house, which has remained intact through the years, is the external paving by the kitchen door where classical games are represented with marble tiles. The farmhouse is in a strategic position as it is close to the great tourist centres like Monsummano Terme (5 km), Montecatini Terme (7 km), Lucca (33 km), Florence (55 km), Pisa (58 km), and the beaches of Versilia (60 km). During the low season La Pergolina is the ideal residence for a regenerating holiday at the spa of Monsummano Terme.
INTERIOR
The villa has three storeys. The main entrance on the first floor, reached by an external staircase, leads into the living area with a dining area and kitchen, a sitting room with fireplace, a well lit lounge, a bathroom with tub and a single bedroom. A wooden staircase leads up to the sleeping area on the top floor, composed of six double bedrooms, four of them with third bed added, and three bathrooms with shower. On the ground floor, in the basement, is the laundry area.
Equipment: Internet fast connection, Satellite TV, stereo with CD reader, DVD player, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, American coffee machine, moka, toaster, mixer, iron and ironing board, baby cot, highchair, hairdryer, ceiling fans, mosquito screens, barbecue.
EXTERIOR
The property covers an area of about 5000 square metres of land, mostly characterized by olive trees and vines. The garden is terraced and enhanced by colourful plants and fruit trees. At the entrance to the property are the characteristic old Tuscan cypress trees. The garden has been made more comfortable thanks to the presence of structures for guests to relax and enjoy every moment.
POOL
Just a few meters from the house, on a lower level, is the pool area, available to guests from the last Saturday of April until the first Saturday of October. The pool, totally fenced, measures 12 x 6 m with a constant depth of 1,50 m and is lined in white PVC; access to the water is by Roman steps, the pool border is in stone and the solarium area (lawn) is provided with deckchairs, sunbeds, umbrellas and heated outdoor shower. The pool area is fenced off and so suitable for young children to play whilst the adults relax.
