BORGO IL SANTO- RECEPTIVE STRUCTURE

Agriturismo with swimming pool, “Borgo Il Santo”, was a small Tuscan farming homestead constructed around the 1850. It is situated in a panoramic position on the Tuscan hillside of Santo Stefano with a breathtaking view of the entire Valley of Chio and only 7 km from the town of Castiglion Fiorentino and a step away from Cortona and Umbria. It is composed of the original farm house and barn. With the restructuring work finished in 1998, the farm house was divided into two charming apartments, “Il Santo Fufigna 1 e 2”, and a small independent villa, “Il Santo Cottage”.

INTERIOR

The first apartment “Il Santo Fufigna 1” consists of a living room, fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, a master bedroom with an in suite bathroom, one bedroom with two twin beds or a double, and a bathroom (tub). Access to the apartment from the private garden areas which has a gazebo and a table for up to six people to eat and relax outdoors.

The second apartment “Il Santo Fufigna 2”  has a living room with fireplace and well-equipped kitchenette, a double bedroom, a bedroom with two twin beds or a double and a bathroom with a tub and shower.  The apartment is accessed by an external stone staircase and small patio. The villa unit has a small private garden area with a gazebo and table for up to 4 people.

This charming structure called “Il Santo Cottage” has two floors: the ground floor is a living room with sofa bed, fireplace, a large well-equipped kitchen with dining area, a bedroom with two twin beds or a double and a bathroom (shower).  A wooden staircase in the living room leads to the second floor where there is a double bedroom with an in suite bathroom. From the bedroom on the second floor there is a separate entrance followed by a stone staircase that leads directly into the garden. The villa is reached by a private garden with a small gazebo and table for up to six people.

EQUIPMENT: fully equipped kitchens with stove top, oven, refrigerator, and dishwasher, living areas with telephone, television and Wi-Fi internet connection, laundry area with washing machine, independent heating, and hairdryers.

EXTERIOR

The entire property is surrounded by a spectacular landscaped garden that permits each unit to have private spaces outside, as well as, being able to share the swimming pool, 8 m X 5 m, which is centrally located. Guests can also enjoy cooking on the large stone barbeque. The villa apartments also offers its guests covered parking for 3 cars.

The price includes:   Vat, electricity, gas, water, linens, pool towels, use of the swimming pool, final cleaning, air conditioning, heating, Wi-Fi, 24/7 customer support, access to the organic vegetable garden, welcome kit and cosmetic bath set, cot and hight chair (free of charge (0-3 years old)

The price does not include:

Pet allowance: € 50,00 per stay,  Extra bed:  € 50,00 per stay

Security deposit: credit card guarantee on arrival.

On request:

Catered meals: breakfast, lunch or dinner, cooking courses

Baby sitting:  € 28,00 / hour during the day;   € 35,00 per hour after 24.00 pm

Weekly rates:  our rental period in July and August is Saturday to Saturday. In other months, 3 night minimal stays are allowed

Late check-in: must be communicated in advance and there will be a € 50,00

LOCATION

Castiglion Fiorentino has Etruscan-Roman origin and almost intact middle ages walls, domain of Cassero, where you can find interesting Etruscan excavations too The Municipality museum contains precious goldsmithry works of XIII century and paintings of Margaritone, Taddeo Gaddi, Bartolomeo della Gatta and Giorgio Lucani. The sixteenth century loggia, in front of the Municipality building, it's like a natural balcony that offers an amazing view to Valle di Chio, walkway between Valdichiana and Valtiberina. During the springtime, the “Castiglionese May” present numerous appointments with culture, sports, music and Food and Wine; during the summer there are other events but the most important is “Palio dei Rioni”.
