San Vincenzo La Maccinaia is a beautiful and comfortable villa with private heated, salt-water system swimming pool set in a quiet position in the heart of the Chianti region, between Gaiole and Castelnuovo Berardenga.  This property is part of a wine producing estate and it is possible to arrange a visit to their wine cellar upon request. The panoramic position of San Vincenzo  allows guests to enjoy colourful views of the Chianti countryside . 

The main building dates to the 17th century and it has been restored at a very high standard blending modern design with the original Tuscan architecture. Guests staying at San Vincenzo  can enjoy comfortable al fresco dining in front of the swimming pool, in enclosed veranda furnished for outdoor dining. In this separate building there are also  the laundry room, a bathroom with shower, a changing room as well as a built in BBQ . Furthermore, knowing that  most travelers enjoy cooking while in Chianti, the owners have equipped the well furnished kitchen, as well as the dining room, with air-conditioning.

The main house can sleep up to 12 people. The bedrooms in the main house on the second floor are equipped with air-conditioning. On the second floor there are an  unusually large master bedroom with ensuite bathroom (shower and separate bathtub) and two double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms (one with shower and one with a bathtub) that do share the toilet. While the bedroom on the first floor and ground floor have their own private bathroom but they do not have air-conditioning. The ground floor bedroom is ideal for a family with young children or for a group of teenagers : it can be accessed from separate entrance, it is a lofted twin bedroom accommodating 2/4 guests, bathroom (shower).  
For larger groups - up to 16 people - the depandance in front of the house (closed if renting the smaller version of this property) can be rented as well, this unit sleeps up to 6 people.

Please note that air-conditioning and pool heating are available at extra cost.

In the well-kept garden there is a large vegetable garden, past guests have particularly enjoyed the vegetables that are grown locally. Furthermore, the house manager will be happy to support you in the planning of cooking services and cooking classes. This area is particularly convenient for wine lovers as there are several well-known wineries a short drive away. For those looking to explore this part of the Tuscan region, there are many Chianti Villages a short drive away and Siena is only 35km from San Vincenzo 
Please note that San Vincenzo  is set in a secluded position and the road leading to the house is unpaved. The heating of the pool is included in the price from the beginning of May to the end of September - if you travel outside this period of time please be aware that if used it will be at extra cost
