 The lovely Podere Marilena is an ancient, stone farmhouse recently restored and situated very close to the small village of Cantalena. The old village is about 15 km away from Cortona and Castiglion Fiorentino, two famous medieval towns in the lower Valdichiana valley. Cantalena, 600 mt over the sea level, can by reached by a panoramic, mountain road (approximately 3 km long), which is not suitable for sports cars. The cozy furniture reminds of Tuscan tradition and fits perfectly with the pleasant atmosphere of the house. Guests will enjoy a relaxing holiday in a beautiful villa and can decide whether to go for a walk through untouched nature or explore the many interesting villages and towns close by.

INTERIOR

GROUND FLOOR: entrance in a living-dining room with kitchen corner and fireplace, French window to a panoramic terrace, bathroom with shower, double bedroom. FIRST FLOOR: with access via an internal staircase, bathroom with shower and double bedroom with double sofa bed.
 

EQUIPMENT: freezer, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, moka coffee maker, filter coffee maker, iron and ironing board, satellite TV, wood burning oven, barbecue.

PARK
In the past the house was part of the former Podere Cerniera which included cultivated fields, vineyards and chestnut woods. Even today the owners cultivate this land. At the disposal of guests there is a barbecue and an oven to be heated by wood where they can cook meals to be enjoyed outdoors.

POOL
There is also a beautiful, infinity swimming pool (10x5m, depth m 1,50), which is placed in the nice garden where you can enjoy the panoramic view over the valley. The pool area is well equipped with little tables, umbrellas, sun lounges for lying in the sun, and there is an external shower. It is open from 19/04 to 18/10. 

 

Services included: electricity, gas for kitchen use, water, initial cleaning, sheets and bathroom towels with weekly change, Internet WIFI.

Services not included: final cleaning €70,00, heating (5,- M3) , Tourist tax Euro 2 per person per day, applied for the first 4 days only. Children up to 12 years do not pay.  

Services on request (to be paid on site): Pets are welcome on payment of €6,00 each per day. Swimming towels available on request on payment of Euro 3 each.
