A VIP Summer on Italy’s Stunning Amalfi Coast

What do the likes of George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Jessica Alba, Leonardo di Caprio and Anglelina Jolie have in common? Well, aside from the fact that they are all famous movie stars, these celebrities all love to take their vacation on Italy’s stunning Amalfi coast. Known as being one of Italy’s premier coastal holiday spots, this location attracts a huge number of celebrities and weekend jet-setters alike. But never fear, because although the Amalfi coast has an exclusive feel about it, you don’t need to be a millionaire to enjoy the VIP lifestyle here, as we have a range of gorgeous Amalfi coast villas with pools available for you.

As well as indulging in a bit of celeb spotting, the Amalfi is also a great place to relax, as it has a wonderful laid back attitude. Oh, and did we mention the fact that with its seductive sea of crystal clear waters, towns nestled into cliffs and dramatic panoramas, it is one of Italy’s most beautiful locations? In fact, in 1997 it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, due to its incredible physical beauty and natural diversity. It’s also famous for its delicious local limoncello!

Celebrities have been coming here for a good many years; even in the 1930’s the likes of Greta Garbo and Humphrey Bogart would frequent this slice of paradise. As well as having a spectacular shoreline, the Amalfi is home to several small towns and villages full of traditional and tasty restaurants, cute little boutiques and beautiful winding streets. One of the most loved is Positano, with its multicoloured buildings set into the steeped cliff face. From here you can try a boat tour or even take out a private rental to explore the area. Sorrento is also well worth a visit and it is very well connected, having transport links to Naples and Pompeii as well as a ferry to the island of Capri.

Talking of Capri, this wonderful island is only a short journey away and is definitely a highlight here on the Amalfi. It is known as being romantic and somewhat enchanting, especially since it is home to the ‘Grotta Azzura’, or Blue Grotto. Capri is especially loved by the rich and famous, who can’t get enough of its picturesque scenery, tasty limoncello and exclusive boutiques on the Via Camerelle. Finally, there is also the town of Amalfi, which is home to wonderful views, charming white houses clinging to the rock face and the beautiful cathedral of St. Andrew.
