Aia Vecchia di Montalceto is situated at the end of a scenic dirty road lined with heather, strawberry trees and oaks, amidst the magic and wonderful countryside of the Crete area, in the province of Siena.
Aia Vecchia di Montalceto is an antique farm, composed of five SUITES coming from the careful restoration of two large farmhouses.
Once upon a time, this place was a famed thermal spa thanks to its waters already well known in the 15th Century for the treatment of arthritis and rheumatism. One attractive bath is still active, the water of the bath is about 32 degrees Celsius and guests of Aia Vecchia di Montalceto are invited to use it all year round.
This wonderful location is furthermore situated just 30 minutes far from Siena and Arezzo and an hour from Florence and Assisi. Rapolano Terme, with its beautiful hot water pools and a very well equipped health and beauty centre, is only 7 Km away. A well equipped riding centre is 4 km away and a very well kept golf course is 20 km away. Also within the range of 20 km are Pienza Montepulciano and the Abbazia di Monte Oliveto Maggiore.
DESCRIPTION OF THE 5 SUITES:
POOL
The Aia Vecchia di Montalceto is equipped with a beautiful swimming-pool with Jacuzzi (14 x 9 m, depth 1,50-2,10 m)
GARDEN
A large garden equipped with outdoor furniture, barbecue, wood burning oven, mountain bikes, and a billiard room, are at the disposal of the guests.
The pool is open from 30th April to 8th October.
A 250 m cypress-lined path leads to the swimming pool, the playground area for children and the bowling alley.
EQUIPMENT
Each suite furnished with antiques has its own entrance and is equipped with satellite TV and Dvd player.
On the ground floor of the main house there are a laundry, a wood burning oven and a communal room equipped with a well equipped kitchen, stereo, satellite TV, Dvd player, table tennis, a small library, a piano. This common room is ideal to welcome large groups up to 35 people as they are able to have dinners, breakfasts and lunchs there alltogether.
NOTES: Nearby is the owner's villa.

ON REQUEST The owner will prepare typical Tuscan dishes for dinner (minimum 8 persons), catering service, cooking classes and local specialities tastings; Day tours, customized itineraries, guided visits to places of cultural and artistic interest, excursions, breathtaking experiences...
THE PRICE INCLUDES: electricity, water, gas for cooking purposes, weekly change of linen, initial cleaning, pool and garden maintenance
THE PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE: final cleaning € 350,-; small size pets are welcome upon payment of 35 Euro per week each one
SERVICES UPON REQUEST: heating € 5,00/m3 (based on up to date market prices); On request the owner will prepare typical Tuscan dishes for dinner (minimum 8 persons). Prices will be comunicated by the owner on site.
SECURITY DEPOSIT: € 800,-
Pets: are welcome on payment of € 35 each one per week.
