Casa Caldisi is situated about 8 km distant from Castiglion Fiorentino, a lovely medieval village of  the Chiana Valley endowed with shops and services.  This old village still has the narrow medieval lanes surrounded with ancient period buildings,  typical "trattorie" and Tuscan restaurants where it will be pleasant to taste the most renowned dishes of the Tuscan food.

The house is situated on the top of the "Passo della Foce", in a tiny hamlet, from where you can glimpse an incredible view on the Val di Chio which, with its green, wooded hills, connects the Valdichiana to the Valtiberina and to the border with Umbria.

The renovated old farmhouse comprises on the ground floor some rooms occasionally used by the owners and the two guest apartments on the upper floor.  The furnishings are simple and comfortable, with some valuable pieces of local antiques, a family inheritance that Francesca, the owner, has carefully restored with respect for tradition.

The farmhouse is ideal for two couples as it is divided into two independent flats that have been designed to guarantee privacy even during a holiday with friends.

The property accepts small size pets.

 

INTERIOR

Going up a stone, external staircase you can reach the wide terrace-solarium where you find the entrance to the house which is divided into two independent units. The first unit with entrance on living-dining room with kitchen corner, bathroom with shower, two double bedrooms both with access to a panoramic balcony. The second unit with entrance on living-dining room with kitchen corner, bathroom with shower, double bedroom with access to the panoramic balcony.

OUTDOOR

 An external stone staircase leads to a private sun terrace furnished with table and chairs for dining al fresco. From the terrace you will find both the access to the flats and, by climbing a few steps, to the beautiful swimming pool (size m. 10x5, depth m. 1-1,40), private and equipped with sun beds and umbrellas. 
It is on the terrace that you will spend your days at the farmhouse. In the sun or under the umbrellas, in the cool of the morning or in the breeze of the summer evenings. For your dinners with your friends there is also a barbecue and an oven with a typical wood-burning stove. Parking is available within the property.

NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE:
Breakage deposit Euro 200 (payable in cash on your arrival and held by the owner for the duration of your stay). During their stay, should travellers cause any damage to the property, they will be liable for the associated costs. 
Electric car charging on demand on payment.
Obligatory final cleaning Euro 80.
Heating Euro 6 per m3 (if used). 
Pets allowed (small size only) on payment of Euro 5 each per day. 
Wood for fireplace Euro 20 each 100 kg.
If ordered in advance swimming towels can be hired on site on payment of Euro 3 each.
