The villa is set in a splendid panoramic position between the Tuscan and Umbrian countryside and the Trasimeno Lake. Villa del Lago is a beautifully restored villa itself surrounded by a well maintained Italian garden with flowers, plants and trees. In addition, over 700 olives, almond, hazelnut and wallnut trees and a vineyard make Villa del Lago a unique place for relaxation and pleasure. In summertime, the guests can enjoy the fresh products of the land as they become available during their stay: tomatoes, courgettes, cucumbers, grapes, cherries, apricots, peppers, aubergines.

INTERIOR

Style and elegance in the best Italian tradition characterize the interiors of Villa del Lago with a full wall trompe l'oeil in the master bedroom offering a view on the Lago Trasimeno from a balcony setting.
Villa del Lago is the perfect place for a vacation in any season for larger groups up to 12 adults with a large double living room (with a built in hifi-system) and big fireplace, a kitchen/dining room (also connected to the hifi-system) with a fireplace and a large table seating up to 16 people and smaller breakfast table seating six people and permanent outside dining facilities on the south- and northside under a palmtree and a canopy.

Two seperate staircases offer acces to an entertainment room with pantry, fireplace and balcony with a view on the lake and the battlefield where Hannibal beat the Romans 217 BC and six double bedrooms with five full bath rooms and a quiet and light study with all facilities.

GARDEN

Outside Villa del Lago offers comfortable seating protected from wind and sun all around, starting on the eastside (the pool nicely warmed up by the sun in the morning), to the southside (enclosed courtyard) or the northside (unobstructed views over the Colli del Trasimeno and the lake) to the westside (beautifull sun-settings with views on neighboring villages on hilltops and the vulcanic monte Cetona from a gazebo covered with flowers and grapes. At guests disposal also a barbecue.

POOL

The pool, located next to the villa, measures 5x12 m, with a depth from 0,60 to 2,00 m and is open from the last Saturday of April till the first Saturday of October. The pool area is furnished with sun umbrella, sun beds, chairs and table.

The Chiusi train station and A1 exit are at 20 minutes from the villa connecting it directly to places like Florence, Siena and Rome. Daytrips can be easily made.
