Il Salice is located near Monte San Savino which is not only one of the most important and most visited towns in the Chiana Valley but above all it is an enchanting and ancient medieval village that still maintains a large part of its ancient walls.
Since the house does not have a swimming pool, Il Salice is with no doubt the ideal solution for those who prefer cultural tourism to leisure in the pool. The house is for those who love Tuscany and everything that this region represents in culture, history and gastronomy and it is also an excellent starting point for day trips to Tuscany and Umbria to visit beautiful and famous towns such as Arezzo, Firenze, Siena, Cortona, Pienza, Montepulciano, Sansepolcro, Asciano, Valdorcia, Crete Senesi, Chianti, Assisi, Perugia, Gubbio, Orvieto, and many others.
The house is newly built. The accommodation at our guests' disposal is on the ground floor of the house while the owner's son lives on the first floor, always very discreet and respectful. IL SALICE is simply furnished but comfort is assured. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden at guests’ disposal and there is also a porch furnished with table and chairs, ideal for outdoor dining and a BBQ.
The village of Monte San Savino, with many supermarkets, shops and facilities, is only 1 km far from the property. A nice experience could be to get on foot to the center of the town for some shopping, for a tasty gelato or just have a look at the weekly market on Wednesdays morning….. Or just enjoy a relaxing walk admiring the landscape of the surrounding countryside with its silver olive groves, green vineyards and cultivated fields.
